September 2024 // First Wear // On Cloudmonster 2

The new On Cloudmonster 2 picked up from Sole Motive’s moving sale in Hawthorn, Victoria.

Taken for a spin on 9 September on a 35 minute recovery run, then again on a threshold run on 11 September (in pouring rain and hail).

Worn with Melbourne-based brand, Steigen socks.

PROS: high stability, not boring due to the split foam density, very comfortable to wear, no blisters or rubbing of any sort.

CONS: having ran mostly in carbon recently the shift to carbonless was a little taxing but no cons in terms of design and build. There was some early wearing on the non-rubber sections of the sole that I’ll keep track of over the coming kms.

I personally enjoyed my run in these shoes, they stood up well to the elements (rain, hail and shine) and I’m excited for the next 50kms.
