September 2024 // 50km // Nike Alphafly 3

57km in from the original first wear review from February 2024 available here.

Tipped over 50km on 7 September 2024 on a 1hr10min long run.

Worn with 100% cotton ankle socks.

PROS: strong forward propulsion, a lot of cushioning on the forefoot, light, built for speed

CONS: lack of heel support means that pronation is likely once you start to fatigue, toe box is actually a little too narrow on the standard W sizing, the shoes are deteriorating faster than I’d expect - see images of the soles below.

I REALLY enjoy running in these, but am concerned about how quickly they’re deteriorating.

USER NOTES: 74kg, 178cm, ran at 6:08min/km on a gravel track (Albert Park Lake).
